In July 2022, 200 sets of 30W vertical solar LED street lights were installed in New Zealand as part of a retrofit project to replace traditional street lights with innovative solar-powered solutions. Each set of vertical solar PV features a 30W LED lamp head mounted on a 5-meter pole, paired with a 140W, 18V vertical solar module to ensure efficient energy absorption. The battery and controller are built directly into the light fixture, simplifying installation.
